I will buy cookie dough without any desire to actually cook it… just to eat it raw. Probably not the best idea. Until I found out that you can make egg-less cookie dough!! I had no idea this even existed until I read this post. Seeing as how I love to make truffles (exhibit A & B) – I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the egg-less mixture. I followed that simple recipe, balled them up, and dipped them into melted bakers semi-sweet chocolate. Absolutely delicious… And you don’t have to worry about getting sick from eating gross raw eggs.
A few weeks ago BaDing* and I took a very long drive up to New Haven, CT. He was gracious enough to take the drive up with me, even though I was going to a bridal shower clearly without him. We arrived way too early so we decided to take a stroll down the road. I had no idea that this area was so beautiful – I love finding beauty in un-expected places! We ended up sitting around taking in the view, relaxing and enjoying the sound of the waves… and of course leaving our initials on an innocent bench.

There are so many amazing places in the world that aren’t man-made. Some are surrounded by cities, some are in the middle of nowhere, some tucked away in a cave where you could never even imagine how stunning the interior could be. Places that seem to be so perfectly preserved you would never know people have been there. Here are a few places that I would like to travel, based on the gorgeous and unique natural surroundings.

Lemonade is one of my favorite summer time drinks – so when I was looking for something to sip on poolside this weekend, I knew what I wanted. I decided to give my lemonade a little kick and I discovered how amazing spiked lemonade is. All the ingredients that I used, we already had in the house, and it was so easy to make! It just takes ice, vodka, lemonade, and lemons. I added the ice and a few lemon chunks into a mason jar, mixed a shot of vodka with a glass of lemonade, mixed them up and added it to the ice. Bam, you’re done! The perfect, adult, daytime, summery beverage.
I guess you can say that I have always been a Daddy’s girl. I have been blessed to have such an amazing, kind, caring, funny, above-and-beyond, completely brag-worthy Dad. I am one of his two lucky kids. Thanks for everything you are, and everything you do. I love you more than you will ever know! Happy Fathers Day, Dad!
Southport Brewing Company [SBC] is a Restaurant / Bar / Brewery in the area that has one of my favorite options that bars can offer… the beer sampler. Every time I see this as an option at a bar, I can’t resist it. This is like the “appetizer sampler” for beer lovers. If you are having a hard time deciding what to order, why choose, get six. While I love all bars that offer this option, not many of them actually brew their own beer right above the bar! This place is seriously impressive. Restaurant + Brewery = pure genius.
