What do you make someone who makes cake for a living? Not cake. For a friend’s birthday I decided to make her these cookie dough brownies that I have been drooling over since Rachel over at How Bout Some Cake started raving about them a few months ago. [I also used this eggless cookie dough recipe for these cookie dough truffles] When she said they were one of the best things she ever made, I was just waiting for the perfect occasion to give me an excuse to make them. I made the exact recipe that she recommended, except that I naturally doubled it. Rachel, you do not disappoint. Everyone, get into your kitchen and make this!
If you are a fan of the ultimate summertime treat s’mores, you are a going to love this little twist to the classic dessert. I was expecting this to be good, but I wasn’t expecting it to be that good! Wow. What I did to make this delicious treat was make dark chocolate brownies while I was getting the rest of the ingredients ready and prepped. When the brownies were done and still very hot, we roasted the marshmallows in our kitchen. As soon as the marshmallows were roasted to perfection, we placed the super-hot brownie onto the prepped graham cracker with the piece of Hershey’s chocolate on it. This melted the chocolate perfectly. We quickly added the marshmallows and top cracker and dug in. BaDing thought it would be funny to snap some pictures of me devouring them… they weren’t pretty. So good. So messy. Highly recommended.
